Very grumpy today. VERY grumpy.
At least the Eyman thing failed. A tiny consolation.

Chambord

We had a good weekend. Stayed home Saturday night and took it very easy ~ M is fighting a cold and I was still exhausted from the show and no sleep. We watched First Contact, which seemed all new since I hadn’t seen it since it came out (plus I was in shock when I saw it the first time). And watched some other stuff. The new ATHF, very weird and funny.

Got up late on Sunday, had our walkies, M made breakfast bless his heart, then off to niece E’s fourth birthday party. We had found some books about horses to go with the toy horsie we picked up at Chambord last year. Two books for E and one for me. I still love the horsies. What’s funny is that all three of E’s aunties brought horse stuff, without knowing what the others were getting. Apparently we all decided it was time for E to get into horses. It’s about time, I’d say!

Monday M woke up sick, so we had another low key day. Today he had to go to Vancouver for work, poor thing. Hope he and A finish soon. Heading to the wwah tonight to watch the election returns with friends. Keep your fingers crossed!

Spearhead!

October 30th, 2004

Michael Franti and Spearhead came to town last night. Awesome show. Except for the part where one of our party got bounced out of the place. Yep. Except for that, it was GREAT. Oh, and Radioactive wasn’t there. Too bad. But really, it was so much fun. I danced, which surprised me, but there’s just no way to not dance at a Spearhead show.

Outside, after the show, we got hot dogs. They were so good, but WEIRD because they had cream cheese on them! And it was brilliant! Why don’t all hot dogs have cream cheese on them?

Today I learned a new word from Alyssa: Walloon
Alyssa’s husband is a Walloon. Alyssa does a fine impression of a
Walloon.

And another new word we ran across in the OED: popelican
Not the leader of Catholic pelicans. An old form of the word publican.
Very nice.
