Oh wow
I haven’t been to a white elephant party in ages. Years ago I used to attend a really awesome one thrown every year by a group of friends, long lost now. It was formal, which was unusual for our crowd at the time, and as I dimly recall there was a lot of creative bartending going on. I remember a certain green drink. What was it called… an Elf? I can’t remember, but it was yummy, too easy to drink. The best part was everyone brought a white elephant gift and a gift for charity. Way fun.
So look at these amazing things Archie McPhee has for sale. Here’s hoping somebody throws a white elephant party this year, because oh man. That black cat Santa is fucked up.

I love it. I absolutely love it. I wish that my house was big enough to throw a white elephant party. I suppose we could have one at a rest-o-raunt downtown during the afternoon…let me know if i should get on organizing that. i might only do it if you want to come down on a sunday afternoon! that could be fun!

Oh man. That would be so fun! Let’s see, how many Sundays do we have to work with… four, including the 23rd, which perhaps should not be included. Maybe the 16th? It’s all so soon!

Archie McPhee is great. I’ve already bought several Christmas presents from them this year. And if you order from them online, they always toss a couple random small free things into the box too. Which are perfect stocking stuffers.
